Reading
I've been working on my paper for US History, and so I haven't had a lot of time to work on my paper for Friday. However, I bought this book yesterday called "Look Me in the Eye," about a man with Asperger's Syndrome. Reading the first chapter, it's obvious that the main character has difficulties functioning normally around people, but in no way is he severely impaired. When researching about Asperger's Syndrome, I found out it's similar to autism in that it has varying degrees of intensity. To what degree of impairment must a person be before a state decides that they require free medical attention? This is yet another question I need to look into before penning my paper.

First of all, why are you so eloquent? "Penning my paper"... Ah, Maddie. Anyway, do you remember that one story we had to listen to last year in Priest's class from NPR about the mentally impaired boy with the chickens? I know that sounds really random, but I don't remember if he got government aid or not. It might be something to look into, I'm sure it's still on Priest's edline.
Maddie
I really like your topic. I know someone who has severe autism and it is a huge strain on his family emotionally and financially. I can see how this is a really big problem and I am glad you are taking the time to research it. Let me know how that book is, it sounds really interesting. Good luck with the rest of your paper!
That's interesting! I don't know! But I think that would be an interesting something to put in your paper! It sounds like your paper is coming along well!
That sounds like an interesting source that you have discovered. Your topic seems like a very interesting choice as well. Cranial diseases are one of the least understood phenomena and for that reason I have found them to be fascinating, i wish you luck on your paper.
